RPTRA Rambutan is Equipped with Mini Greenhouse

RPTRA Rambutan on Jalan Tanjung Duren Barat II, RT 06/04, Tanjung Duren Utara Urban Village, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, now has mini greenhouse with various ornamental plants, medicinal plants, productive plants, and hydroponic plants.

It becomes an educational tool for residents to cultivate their love for environment

Tanjung Duren utara Urban Village Economy and Development Section Head, Suroso said, mini greenhouse that made by RPTRA administrators and PPSU personnel will be functioned to introduce environment to residents from early age, especially for RW 04 and 05 residents.

"It becomes an educational tool for residents to cultivate their love for environment through planting activity," he expressed, Thursday (9/23).

In this mini greenhouse area, his side also planted medicinal plants such as turmeric, pecah beling (strobilanthes crispa), lemongrass, kencur (kaempferia galanga), celery, as well as fruit trees such as mango, star fruit, avocado, rose apple, and others.

For ornamental plants, there were jasmine, bougenville, and celosia. Some plants were also planted using hydroponic method such as water spinach, bok choy, lettuce, green mustard and others.

"We hope residents can adopt the idea of mini greenhouse in RPTRA to their environment. Thus Tanjung Duren Utara can be greener and beautiful," he closed.
